Submitting Advertisement Material
Print advertisements can be submitted via our advertising portal. You will receive a link to the portal when you place an advertisement reservation with us. You can easily download the user manual for instructions.
Material Specifications by Medium
Newspapers
Advertisement material must be submitted as a PDF. The current PDF standard for newspapers is GWG2015_NewspaperAds_CMYK, but the older version 4 (NewspaperAds_1v4) is still supported.

According to these standard profiles, PDF files must be created and verified. In the Netherlands, this is often referred to as a “Certified PDF.” In addition to Certified PDF workflows, there are many tools available for creating and checking high-quality PDFs. On printarena.nl, you’ll find everything needed to create a proper PDF (including ICC profiles, PDF presets, and the Technical Guide for Design).

Magazines

As with newspaper ads, files should be created and checked using standard profiles. Again, the term “Certified PDF” is commonly used in the Netherlands, but there are many solutions available for high-quality PDF creation and verification.
Color Settings
Ensure proper color settings and always use color profiles suitable for the chosen printing method.

For newspaper, news sheet, and weekly ads: use the ISOnewspaper26v4 profile.

For magazine ads: use ISOcoated_v2_eci.
Delivery Specifications
Material must be submitted via our portal. You’ll receive a unique link when you reserve your ad. All submitted material must be checked in advance for correctness. This can be quickly and easily verified through our portal, where you’ll immediately see whether your file meets the specifications. Any errors or warnings will be clearly flagged, ensuring predictable quality and results.

Email delivery depends on your provider, and the integrity of graphic files sent this way is not always reliable. File size limits also apply. Only our portal ensures full validation and feedback in accordance with current industry standards.
